What is nursing & midwifery

Nursing encompasses the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings.

Midwifery involves the provision of prenatal care to expecting mothers, attending to childbirth and providing postpartum care to the mother and her infant.
