Coming back

There are two (2) return-to-practice programs for nurses and midwives in Queensland.

The Queensland Health Refresher Programs are designed for nurses and midwives who have not practiced for up to five (5) years (Nurse Refresher Program) or up to ten years (Midwifery Refresher Program), but who have maintained their registration/enrolment with the Queensland Nursing Council.

The Nurse Re-entry Program (Competence Assessment Service Program) is designed for nurses who have not practised for a period of five (5) or more years and who are no longer registered/enrolled with the Queensland Nursing Council.
