Queensland Health transition programs

Queensland Health offers transition programs in many specialty areas, for registered nurses commencing employment. All transition programs offered in Queensland Health hospitals are free to Queensland Health employees and generally provide a two-subject credit towards a graduate certificate (four subjects).

Transition to Practice Nurse Education Programs (TPNEP) provides nurses, new to a clinical specialty, with the knowledge and skills necessary to practise competently and safely in their new environment.  These programs have been/are being developed by Queensland Health and are offered across Queensland Health facilities.
