Education & training

There are a variety of education and training opportunties for Registered Nurses in Queensland. In Queensland the Health Department sponsored Tranisition Programs provide a rich source of information for new graduates or Registered Nurseses wishing to undertake study in other areas of nursing. These course are free to Queensland Health employees.

Registered Nurses also have the opportunity to enrol in a variety of postgraduate education programs in the University sector.

For Nurses who wish to pursue a career in rural nursing, course are available to equip them with the skills and knowledge to work in the rural sector.
